Activities Ruby Rhino Escape Rooms
Ruby Rhino Escape Rooms is an independent escape room venue in the heart of Carmarthen. We offer three themed, live-action games where teams of 2 to 7 are locked in for 60 minutes to crack codes, solve puzzles and beat the clock together - no experience needed, just teamwork and a bit of nerve. Choose your challenge: survive a crisis aboard Lunar Base Alpha, escape the depths of the Oubliette dungeon, or take on the mystery of REDACTED. It's the perfect outing for friends, families, birthdays, and stag and hen groups - and a brilliant find for visitors looking for something different to do in town. We also welcome local businesses for team-building days, staff rewards and our unique interview experiences. Gather your team and escape the ordinary in Carmarthen.
Activities Rowtons' Museum of the Paranormal
Rowtons’ Museum is home to hundreds of strange, spooky, and sacred artefacts carefully curated across 4,000 sq/ft… from antique Ouija boards and haunted dolls, to saints’ relics and exorcism scrolls, to witchcraft bottles and secret society regalia, to Victorian mourning jewellery and ancient magic charms. The museum also cares for many one-of-a-kind objects associated with extreme paranormal activity, including those which are claimed to be haunted, cursed, or vessels for non-human entities…
Activities The Lyric Theatre
The Lyric Theatre is a stunning Grade II listed Art Deco landmark, proudly standing on King Street—one of Carmarthen’s most historic thoroughfares. Its elegant main auditorium, complete with a classic proscenium arch stage, seats just over 600 guests, making it the largest venue within the Theatrau Sir Gâr group. Originally built in 1854 as the Public Rooms, The Lyric has been at the centre of the town’s cultural life for generations. In 2022, it gained international attention as the backdrop for a major Hollywood film inspired by the remarkable true story of Liz Evans, former leader of Carmarthen Youth Opera, whose efforts helped save the theatre during a time of uncertainty. The Lyric welcomes thousands of visitors each year to enjoy an exciting variety of live shows and events, including the annual Christmas pantomime, comedy, music, drama and performances by local amateur theatre groups.
